This packaging mimics the design of a pack of cigarettes that were made in Soviet Union in 60s (note the "Dukat-Moskva" logo). I don't remember if there was that particular "Laika" brand, but the other details are reproduced pretty well. The Russian text on the left side of the cover is a play on the usual precaution about the harm of smoking: it says "USSR's Min[istery] of Health warns: music is good for your health". -- Stay tuned, MhZ mailto:mookid@sigent.ru ----------- What is wanted is not the will to believe, but the will to find out, which is the exact opposite. -- Bertrand Russell, "Skeptical Essays", 1928 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
